If your nervous system is in tatters and your usual methods of relaxation just aren't cutting it anymore... if you want to learn some techniques to radically improve the effectiveness of your self care routine, then this workshop is for you. Self care is not selfish! It's time to leave behind the idea that looking after yourself somehow diminishes your capacity to look after others, because it's quite the opposite! Sometimes you just can't think your way out of stress! When you've tried meditation (but your mind won't settle down enough) and journalling just feels like even more of a chore (because you simply can't think straight to put pen to paper), it's time to get back to basics... remembering the body, mind and spirit as a whole! As a massage therapist of over 5 years, I know you can't always get a regular massage and anyway, you might just want to maintain your wellbeing in between sessions. I am a huge fan of the neurological benefits of self-touch & the physical and mental shifts that self-massage can bring... I also know how easy it is to leave it too long between sessions so I'm ready to share with you my own tried and tested methods to help you keep on top of your own wellbeing - because prevention is better than cure! I will take you through some easy techniques for self massage of the feet, hands & easy-to-reach body areas as well as sharing some tips on how to do Indian Head Massage movements for yourself. I'll show you what oils to use (plus where & why), and share some basic aromatherapy tips to help you choose essential oils for different effects. I will also help you understand how to link these methods to your existing self-care practices, share simple mindfulness exercises to enhance your daily life and touch briefly on how gratitude, affirmation and simple journaling and card pulling may further support these important practices. As a busy mom and business owner myself, I know how hard it is to make self-care a priority on top of everything else on the to-do list so it's important to me that we work together to find manageable solutions that you can really stick to - ones that don't take up half your day and require you to add more to your already stacked workload!!! We will finish off with a relaxing yoga nidra so you'll leave on a cloud of bliss! Oils will be provided & you can even make yourself a little blend bottle to take home! You can't pour from an empty cup! Let me help you learn to fill yours...
